This privacy policy explains how 8 Scoop's Colouring Factory (“the App”), operated by Industrial Insight (“we”, “us”, “our”), collects, uses, and protects your information. We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your data responsibly.
What we collect
When you use 8 Scoop's Colouring Factory, we collect the following information:
- Account information: Your email address, used for authentication via Supabase Auth.
- User-generated content: Text prompts you enter and photos you upload for AI line-art generation. These are stored temporarily to process your request.
- Purchase information: Records of in-app purchases processed through Google Play Billing. Payment details are handled entirely by Google — we do not see or store your payment card information.
How we use your information
- To provide the service: Your email is used to create and manage your account. Your prompts and uploaded images are sent to a third-party AI provider to generate line-art output.
- To manage purchases: Purchase records are used to grant access to premium features and manage subscription status.
- To improve the service: We may use aggregated, anonymised usage data to understand how the App is used and to improve it. We do not use your individual prompts or images for training AI models.
Third-party services
We share data with the following third parties, strictly as needed to operate the App:
- Supabase (hosted in the EU) — authentication and data storage. Supabase processes your email address and stores your account data.
- AI processing provider — your text prompts and uploaded images are sent to a third-party AI service for line-art generation. This data is sent only for processing your request and is not retained by the provider beyond what is necessary to complete the request.
- Google Play Billing — handles all payment processing for in-app purchases and subscriptions.
We do not sell your data. We do not use advertising SDKs. We do not track you across other apps or websites.
Data retention
- Account data (email, authentication records) is retained for as long as your account exists.
- Prompts and uploaded images are stored temporarily to process your request and are automatically deleted within 30 days.
- Purchase records are retained for as long as required by tax and legal obligations (typically 7 years under UK law).
Your rights
Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Correct any inaccurate personal data.
- Delete your account and associated data (see our Account Deletion page).
- Export your data in a portable format.
- Object to or restrict certain processing of your data.

Children’s privacy
8 Scoop's Colouring Factory is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
Data security
We use industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (TLS), secure authentication, and access controls on our backend infrastructure. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will notify you through the App or by other appropriate means. The effective date at the top of this page indicates when the policy was last updated.
